Scotts® Halts® Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer is a pre-emergent weed control product that prevents the germination of a variety of listed lawn weeds, allowing you to enjoy a lush, healthy lawn. This product can be applied in early spring when the lawn is dry to prevent the germination of crabgrass, foxtail, spurge, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, goosegrass, and oxalis throughout the entire season. (For goosegrass control, a repeat application is required after 8 weeks.) Additionally, it can be applied in the fall (August-October) to prevent the growth of moss (except in California), Poa annua, henbit, corn speedwell, and chickweed.

Scotts® Halts® Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer is suitable for use on all lawn and grass types, with the exception of Dichondra or Bentgrass lawns. The performance of this product is unaffected by rain, snow, or freezing weather after application. It is important to note that this product is designed to control weeds in their early stages of growth and does not target mature crabgrass or other existing weeds.
