This product is designed to control over 200 listed weed types, including common culprits such as dandelion, clover, dollarweed, chickweed, poison ivy, henbit, oxalis, ground ivy, and purslane.

The key to the product's effectiveness lies in its ability to start working on contact, killing the weeds down to the root. To achieve the best results, it is recommended to apply Scotts® Weed Control for Lawns in the spring or early fall when broadleaf weeds are actively growing, preferably in the morning when dew is present on the grass.

For optimal application, Scotts® suggests using one of their own spreaders. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, the recommended setting is 3 ¾, while for Scotts® drop spreaders, the setting should be 5 ¾. It is important to avoid washing the product off the weed leaves for 1 to 2 days after application, and a thorough watering should be done at this time.

It is crucial to note that this lawn care product should not be used on Dichondra, Carpetgrass, 'Floratam' St. Augustinegrass, Creeping Bentgrass, or turfgrass where desirable clovers are present. A single 14 lb. bag of Scotts® Weed Control for Lawns can cover an area of 5,000 sq. ft.
