Scotts WeedEx Prevent with Halts, Crabgrass Preventer for 5,000 sq. ft.

Scotts® WeedEx™ Prevent with Halts® is a pre-emergent grassy weed killer that prevents crabgrass and other problem weeds from taking over your lawn all season long. To achieve the best results, it is essential to apply this product at the right time.

In early spring, when the lawn is dry, apply Scotts® WeedEx™ Prevent with Halts® to prevent the germination of crabgrass, foxtail, spurge, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, and oxalis. For fall application (August-October), this product can be used to prevent moss (except in California) or the germination of Poa annua, henbit, corn speedwell, and chickweed.

To ensure even coverage, Scotts® recommends using one of their spreaders. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, set the dial to 2 ¼, for Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 4 ½, and for Scotts® Wizz®, set it to 3 ¼. After application, the lawn should receive ¼ to ½ inch of water from rainfall or irrigation within 2-3 days. This will help the product work effectively, and rain, snow, or freezing weather after application will not affect its performance.

It's important to note that Scotts® WeedEx™ Prevent with Halts® controls crabgrass in its early stages of growth. It does not control mature crabgrass or other existing weeds. Additionally, this product should not be applied to Dichondra and Bentgrass.

One 10.06 lb. bag of Scotts® WeedEx™ Prevent with Halts® is enough to cover an area of 5,000 sq. ft., making it a convenient and efficient solution for maintaining a beautiful, weed-free lawn throughout the season.
